The name is a cheated acronym taken from the first names of the four original company founders - and creators of the short film 'LiMBO' - Angela, Tom, Andrew and Kati. Originally known as 'ATAK Films' (pronounced attack), the company was formed from the creative minds of four film students.
Two weeks later, the original team of four was joined by two new members acting as Executive Producers, Lisa and Pamela (Lisa subsequently leaving before initial production began).
The decision was later made to enlarge the name of the company in order to recognise its multi-media production nature, and conveniently the initials of Lisa and Pamela were taken to form 'Last' and 'Pictures' - thus the name of 'Last ATAK Pictures' was conceived.
In one moment of inspiration, 'Last ATAK Pictures' as we know it today, was created.
